Architect-led redesign and rebuild of Richmond property with garden studio and landscaping
About
Our client had a clear vision for the modernist redesign of this semi-detached house near Ham Common.
The Pace team worked in partnership with the client’s architect to rebuild almost every external and internal element of the property. We achieved a calming and elegant aesthetic by using wood and polished concrete throughout. Our team needed outstanding attention to detail to achieve the design’s clean lines and visual consistency.
On the ground floor, we added a side return and built a sleek kitchen-diner. We built a wide range of bespoke joinery for a new central staircase, and sliding partitions to create a concealed snug and office spaces within the open plan scheme.
The garden was an integral part of the design. We built a large garden office with utilities, connected to the house by architectural landscaping and by using the same range of materials as inside. An energy-efficient Air Source Heat Pump was also installed to heat the property, with underfloor heating throughout,
The result of this project is an exceptional and unique home that is a landmark in the local area.
